When is a new school more than just a new school? In Port Clements, it’s when the new Port Clements Elementary School and Multipurpose Complex provides top quality educational facility for local children - and also valuable community facilities that bring local residents together.
These facilities, which include a community kitchen, community library, a daycare, exercise room and other space for the community, make the new school the heart of its community. The building also includes a new seniors’ meeting room, a teen room, a multipurpose room and more.
With funding from the Province, the Village of Port Clements and a range of other government and community sources, the project brings together the education of 50 elementary school students with activities for the entire community.
