Built using an innovative design/build method that combines the design and construction of a new school under a single contract, the G.W. Graham Middle/Secondary school in Chilliwack is a modern, efficient facility that has relieved overcrowding at neighbouring schools.
The combined middle and secondary school can accommodate up to 900 students, with efficient features such as geothermal heating that reduce energy use and protect the environment.
The school includes state-of-the-art science labs, business education labs, art rooms, classrooms, carpentry and mechanics shops, a music room and gymnasiums. There’s also a 350-seat theatre, an art gallery, multipurpose area, separate areas for middle and secondary students, and a range of sport and recreation facilities.
The design/build method helps construction stay on time and on budget, ensuring efficient and cost effective school projects.
