Golden Visitor Centre
Kootenays

As one of British Columbia’s main entry points for visitors, Golden plays a key role in promoting tourism across British Columbia. And with the new visitor centre that opened in 2006, Golden is better equipped than ever to welcome visitors and showcase the city, the Columbia Shuswap and all of British Columbia.
Located on Highway I in Golden, the centre provides a full range of visitor services, including the ability to make reservations for hotel rooms and sightseeing tours onsite.
Like the other five Gateway Visitor Centres located at strategic locations where tourists enter the province, the centre is expected to increase awareness of tourism opportunities and increase visits to Kicking Horse Country and throughout B.C.
The $2.2 million centre is part of the province’s overall strategy to double the tourism industry by 2015.
