Enderby Sports Complex
Thompson Okanagan

The spirit of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games has spread across British Columbia, including to places like the Enderby Sports Complex. That’s one of many locations in the province where the Olympic/Paralympic Live Sites program has helped bring about projects that help communities participate in the spirit of the 2010 Games.
In Enderby, the arena and curling rink are widely used, with nearly 25,000 people using the complex each year, coming from all parts of the region. The Live Sites program has helped by assisting with the cost of upgrades to the mechanical room, lobby, washroom, hallway, dressing room and entrance. The addition of a female dressing room and numerous safety upgrades were also included as part of the project.
The upgrades improve safety and put the complex in a better position to attract events and new users through all four seasons. That’s good for the local economy and it’s helping spread the spirit of the 2010 Games.
