Post-secondary training and education is important to people living in all areas of British Columbia. That’s why our province’s excellent post secondary system includes top quality institutions in every region, including the College of the Rockies, which is important to the entire East Kootenays region.

In the 33 years since it was established, College of the Rockies has provided valuable skills to thousands of people at its seven campuses. And in recent years, the B.C. Government has invested in expanded academic and trades programs so the college can continue to meet the region’s needs.

B.C. Government provided $15.4 million for the expansion to the main campus in Cranbrook, there was new shop space for heavy-duty equipment mechanics and automotive service technician the new academic building provided new classrooms, study areas, a nursing lab and other facilities to support the academic programs.  Government also provided $2 million to purchase the Gold Creek Campus which is providing additional trades space such as timber framing and welding.

By investing in the College of the Rockies, we are investing in Cranbrook, the East Kootenays and our province’s future.
